Yesterday we went to Motiongate at Dubai Parks and Resorts for the first time and we all loved it!

If you haven’t been to Motiongate yet, it is made up of themed areas and attractions based on DreamWorks Animation, Columbia Pictures, Lionsgate and The Smurf’s.

There is tons to do here but most of the rides have height restrictions so make sure you check out the website before you go - https://www.motiongatedubai.com/en
Our son is now tall enough to go on most of the rides, he absolutely loved the rollacoasters - he went on The Green Hornet 3 times!

It wasn’t that busy so we didn’t have to que for anything either which was great, unfortunately a lot of the food venues weren’t open, I don’t know if that was due to Ramadan or lack of business from Covid 🤷🏻‍♀️ - when my son decided to take an impromptu nap, we thought we would go and have a drink in Irish Village but we we’re told it closed and didn’t reopen after Covid 😳, so we headed to Lapita hotel which is onsite.

If you are thinking of visiting a few of the different theme parks here, it could be a good option to stay over in Lapita Hotel. The hotel is part of the Marriott Autograph collection brand or there is also a Legoland hotel here so you have a couple of different options.

The theme parks that are onsite within Dubai Parks and Resorts are;

- Motiongate

- LegoLand

- LegoLand Water Park

- Bollywood Parks

If you fancy a bit of retail therapy there is also an Outlet Village shopping Mall close by.
