Bali is a magical blend of culture, people, nature, activities, weather, culinary delights, nightlife, and beautiful accommodation. Bali is rated as one of the best travel destinations in the world by countless websites, review portals, and travel magazines each year and for very good reasons. Whatever your age, background, budget or interest, there is something great for everyone to explore and discover.

Bali is just under 9hrs flight time from Dubai. We decided to split our time between the beaches of Nusa Dua and the more tropical foothills of Ubud.

We spent 4 nights in Nusa Dua at The Royal Santrian in a villa with a private pool which was located on Tanjung Benoa beach.

We then travelled to Ubud which was about 1hr 20min by car, where we stayed 3 nights at Padma Resort - nestled within an unspoiled river valley and overlooking the enchanting forests of Payangan, the resort is an expansive and tranquil luxury destination, located north of Ubud. This hotel was just stunning, you felt like you were in the middle of nowhere, we stayed in a suite that had an outside bath over looking the forest.

Ubud is Bali’s celebrated capital of arts and culture, there's is lots to see and do and lots of hidden quaint cafes down side streets with surprising views out on to the rice paddie fields.

Don't miss out on visiting monkey forest whist you're there too.

As much as I love the beach, I think I preferred our stay in Ubud, just because it was something different and would love to take our son back one day.
