We have been using the amazing winter weather in Dubai to enjoy as many outdoor days as possible, before it gets to hot and we are stuck back inside.

We have found lots of new places to visit, so I thought I would share a few with you, if you are looking for ideas of how to spend your weekends over for the next few months. Dubai actually has a lot more parks and green open spaces than you would think.

1. Wadi Al Amardi Farm

We enjoyed a fab morning at Wadi Al Amardi Farm. We got to see how the fruit and vegetables were grown and we got to feed the animals.

Entrance is 25dhs, (under 3yrs is free) for a guided tour around the farm, we even got to sample some of the yummy fruit & veg 😋 And there is also a kid’s outdoor play area 👍🏻

2. Last Exit Al Khawaneej
Our day out to the farm (mentioned above) took us to an area we wouldn’t normally go to, so we decided to check out what else was around.
We were looking for somewhere close by to have lunch….google maps to the rescue! Just 10mins away is a last exit area with food trucks, but not only food trucks, a lovely area with plenty of restaurants overlooking the water, I didn’t even know this place was here! 🤯

3. Quranic Park
Have you ever been to Quranic Park? If not, you should!

It was so tranquil, it’s a massive park with lots to do;

- The Glass House is home to unique plants that grow under specific environmental conditions. There are 12 orchards in total.

- Cave of Miracles, which illustrates the holy book’s remarkable events through interactive technology

- Growing Orchids in the park also some of the things planted there are pumpkin, fig, onion, garlic, leek, olive, bananas, cucumber, watermelon, tamarind, and basil (to name a few)

- Children’s play areas and fountains

- Other facilities include cafes, cycling and walking paths and solar trees

The Park is open daily from 9am to 9pm

The Cave of Miracles and Glass House have an entry charge of AED10 each, payable via NOL card.

4. Mushrif Park

Yesterday we visited Mushrif Park National Park for the first time ever, I actually can’t believe we’d never been before.

There is plenty to do including barbecue areas, picnic spots and restaurants onsite. There are also lots of sports facilities, swimming pools, bicycle tracks, mountain biking trails and a football field, among others, to take advantage of.

There is also a tree-top adventure course called Aventura, with climbing and zip-lines, unfortunately our son was too small for most of the stuff there but there is a discovery area for the little ones, with a park and trampoline, you can also do a nature trail, Ellis loved digging up the bones 🦴

Mushrif Park ticket prices are AED 3 Per person or AED 10 per car. Aventura has different prices depending on activity and length of time. We paid AED 85 for 1 hour in the discovery area (this was for 1 adult included 1 at extra charge)

AND plenty of water refill stations 🙌🏻👏🏻

5. D3 waterfront - Dubai Design District

This was another great place we stumbled across.
Take a stroll along the waterfront or you can also hire bikes too and check out the amazing Dubai skyline & Burj Khalifa views. It features a skatepark, an open-air basketball court, volleyball courts, climbing walls, a play park and a cafe 👌🏻

Worth a visit if you’re looking for a change of scenery or something to do this weekend.

6. Al Khazzan Park

This is a great little park with a children’s play area and a couple of cafes. We popped down for breakfast a few weeks ago. You can read the menu and order straight from the QR code on the table. Our son was off riding his and around the park and we could easily see him from where we were sat.

Let me know any great outdoor places that your have been to and enjoyed recently?

I will also keep updating this list as we go.
