If you haven't been to Dubai before it's hard to know exactly where to stay and which hotels are the best hotels for families.

These are just a few of our favourites and reasons why.

1. Sofitel the Palm

Sofitel Dubai The Palm is located on the East Crescent of Palm Jumeirah, a 30-minute drive from Dubai International Airport.

It's located directly on a private beach, where you can access a private jetty, (the departure point for sea cruises and motorized water sports). At the other end is the outdoor activity zone, where you can go kayaking, paddle-boarding and snorkelling.

It has six outdoor pools, several pools feature slides and waterfalls, and there’s a fun water area just for kids.

It has many different room types including 2-& 3-bedroom apartments for larger families, we often stay in the 2 bedroom apartment as it gives us more room and it's really close to the kids pool area.

There is also a kids club onsite with an outdoor park area too.

And finally, you have six different restaurants and cuisines to choose from.

You can check out the hotel here or send me a message and I will find you the best price and show you what you can save.

2. Le Royal Meridien beach resort and spa

This is another fab hotel, attractive to all travellers, including young families. Overlooking the pristine waters of the Arabian Gulf and set in 19 acres of landscaped gardens. It is directly on the beach and has 3 separate pools.

It has a kids club and also a kids outdoor park so the children are always kept busy and entertained and to top it off, it has an array of 13 international, award-winning restaurants and bars serving a wide variety of tastes, from Pan-Asian to Mexican.

Celebrities like to stay here too, so keep your eyes peeled.

3. Atlantis the Palm

We have never actually stayed here but we have visited the many amazing restaurants and of course the renowned Aquaventre water park.

Much has been said about the Atlantis Resort, which has left no ends loose in conjuring the appeal of a mythical underwater kingdom, complete with a water park and an underwater aquarium. Hosting its own private 800-metre-long beach, Atlantis The Palm Hotel & Resort offers a host of activities for the little ones. From tennis courts and recreation rooms, to multi-cuisine restaurants, fitness centres, whirlpools, bowling alley and so much more.

Atlantis has something for everyone. Whether it is activities like swimming with the dolphins or thrill rides at Aquaventure water park, or making friends at different teens clubs – Atlantis Dubai keeps the entertainment factor cranked up throughout.

4. Jumeirah Beach Hotel

Is perfect for luxury family vacations and staycations in Dubai, with beautiful sea views, world-class dining, a private beach and kids’ club. This hotel has a cool kids club, it's an amazing play space inspired by the underwater world, they will see colourful tropical fish, find a submarine to explore, spot a whale, enjoy a soft play area, splash about on slides then maybe catch a movie. There is something for every kid to love, from 2-10 years of age, from free play to activities including aqua fun, face painting, crafts and sports for the bigger kids.

Experienced babysitters can also take care of your kids throughout the day, while you are away or taking 5 minutes to relax.

It has 9 restaurants and bars including dining on the beach and also roof top views of Dubai.

I am also a certified Jumeirah travel specialist so you can ask me anything about any of the Jumeirah properties. Send me a message and I will find you the best price and show you what you can save on a stay here.

5. Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort

Situated in a prime location that is Jumeirah Beach. The resort is focused on providing the perfect atmosphere for families and children, there is certainly plenty to do within the hotel, the resort offers five outdoor pools, all located alongside the beach and boasting sea views; two are shaded children’s pools. From beach games that include sand-castle building and pool activities, to children’s clubs, babysitting services, and special kids’ menus at the dining areas.
