We try to get out for a date night at least once a month and we always have the same debate about where to go, which ends up with endless Google searches.

With so many new bars and restaurants opening in Dubai all the time, it’s hard to know where to go?!
So here are some of the restaurants and bars we have visited on recent date nights.

Steakhouses

Bull & Bear - Waldorf Astoria - DIFC (this is where we went 2 weeks ago). Great food and the views aren’t bad either.

The Hide - Al Qsar Hotel.

This was a fairly new one we tried a few months ago and we loved it, (ok, wasn’t quite a date night as we took my mum) but the steak was great and we’d definitely go back.

Beach Bar & Grill - The One & Only Hotel. Another long time favourite, it was recently renovated, with indoor and outdoor split level tiered decking, it’s a stunning venue, great food and ambiance.

Meat & Co - Souk Madinat.

An old favourite that never disappoints and recently refurbished last year.

Japanese/Sushi

Netsu - Mandarin Oriental

We love this place, the food & theatrics are fab, a little pricey for wine but definitely worth a visit for a special occasion and if you love sushi.

Mimi Kakushi - Four Seasons Jumeirah. Rated one on the best Japanese restaurants in Dubai and we would have to agree. The food and ambience is spot on!

Sushi Samba - St Regis The Palm.
We really enjoyed it here, located on the 51st floor, the views are amazing with 360 degree panoramic view over the palm and Dubai. The name is a bit misleading as it’s actually Japanese, Brazilian & Peruvian, the food was good but wine is quite expensive, which is the case with most of Dubai but this was the high end of the scale.

Indian

Indego by Vineet - Grosvenor House.

We've been going here for many years and always take our visitors to try the great Indian dishes here.

Indya by Vineet - Le Royal Meridian Beach Resort

The sister restaurant of the of the above with a twist on typical traditional Indian dishes

Greek
Taverna Greek Kitchen - Souk Madinat

Tucked away in a corner of the madinat, with beautiful decor and good honest Greek food & one of the best Greek salads I’ve ever had.

Ammos - Rixos JBR

Mediterranean

Nammos - Four Seasons Jumeirah

I was a little confused with this one as it gives the impression of a Greek restaurant but I would say it’s more Mediterranean with a lot of meat dishes but also sushi?!
It gets super busy, so it’s not overly romantic, they have lots of live entertainment and singing which was amazing, we a great night out here.

Bars

Galaxy bar - DIFC
An award winning and intimate lounge bar.

Monkey Bar - 25hrs hotel / Trade Centre.

Great cocktails and great views

Aura Sky lounge - St Regis The Palm

Stunning views across Dubai, good to pop in for a drink if you’ve been in Sushi Samba

Mercury Lounge Rooftop Bar - Four Seasons Jumeirah

We love this bar and have been quite a few times, great skyline and Burj kalifa views and there is usually a live saxophonist to
